It's easier to understand this
page if you know about Duo's past. For the first panel, the
"Abadoned." part indicates that Duo was on the streets
for as long as he remembers, without family or home.
For the second panel, "Solo. L2 Virus." explains about
Duo's loss of a friend (I think Duo was about five-years-old or
something), Solo. Because it was the first time Solo and Duo had
cared about someone else, Duo named himself after Solo--hence,
the name Duo. And the quote part... I made that up. Duo said that
once during the series, "But... boys don't cry.." but I
manipulated that so it would sound like Duo learned that from
Solo. ^^; Though Solo is not included in Duo's Episode Zero,
there is a higher chance that Solo was created, stated in
gundamwing.org.
ANYWAYS, the third panel, "Chance. Maxwell Church
Tradegy." shows Duo's last chance at happiness--The Maxwell
Church. The Maxwell Church adopted children from the streets,
including Duo (he was seven-years-old then). They fed him, the
comforted him, yeah, they took care of him, especially Father
Maxwell and Sister Helen. Like Solo, they cared for him,
as Duo cared for them in return. (Getting a hint...?
maybe not, if you're not a Duo freak like I am, but if you are,
CHEERS!) Anyhoo, the Maxwell Church ('specially Father Maxwell)
was trying to stop an arousing war, trying to preach about peace,
but yada yada yada, the Federation Army wouldn't listen (I find
this part of Duo's past very important, but I'm trying to state
only the important facts, 'scuse me. ^_^;) Duo offered to steal a
Mobile Suit, and he did, but when he arrived back at the Maxwell
Church, it's rubble was the only thing that remained. Duo found
Sister Helen, dying, and her last words were, "Duo... May
God... bless you and... keep you." Later on, this incident
was named "The Maxwell Church Tradegy" and only one
survivor was recorded--Duo Maxwell. (I think you now know how Duo
got his last name.)
And the last panel is Duo saying, "Ore wa...
Shinigami..." which translated is "I am Death/God of
Death". Throughout the series, Duo claims to be the God of
Death. Why I'm having him calling himself Death? You'll have to
find out! *cackle* But it's pretty obvious, isn't it. Ah well,
I'm spending time on it AND it's for the DHML monthly challenge.
:P
